Hacking and Cracking

April 13th, 2012

It has always been fascinating to me, all these hacking and cracking activities. However, I am not a computer genius, nor do I have the time or patience to try this out. I have been seeing posts in Facebook (yes, this is the second mentioned about this social network here today) about their accounts being hacked – I’d say, it’s just that their passwords were cracked by their friends! At least those in my circle, since they’ll say it was this person who posted the previous post or something like that. It comes down to the basic, password shouldn’t be shared, nor should it be so easy to be guessed by those who knows you personally.

However, there are some serious hackers out there who does this hacking out of fun, or for a living. Because of them, the Internet security is being tested and improved. There is now the Online criminal justice degrees for those who are interested. Then you can be the online detective or such. Nice, eh? Would be one hell of a career! There are so much that one can do online now. Some don’t even have to step into the office to work. With the Internet, it allows us to work away from the office – not only working from home, but everywhere as long as there is an internet connection. Coolness!

CrossFit Everywhere

April 13th, 2012

The latest craze for the ladies around me in KK is now the ZUMBA workout! I was asked by an ex-colleague yesterday if I was also hit by the fever. Nuh uh! When it was first introduced in Core Fitness 1-2 years ago or so, I was not keen. Still not. I have found my workout that keeps me interested, even hooked. It’s the crossfit workout, and branded as X45 in Core Fitness.

Quoting the description for the group created in Facebook :

“Group based, open layout, competitive. X45 is a revolutionary strength and conditioning program that gets you stronger, not just in the gym, but for LIFE. We program daily workouts and run sessions every night. Every workout is short – meaning you get results with LESS time in the gym.

We focus on strength, conditioning, general fitness, athleticism, injury prevention, movement, basic gymnastics, kettlebell work, and building a better body. Coaching provided for each session!”

So those that has been seeing me posts that mentioned X45, this is what it is. The very concept that made me hooked to X45 – every workout is short! Yes, I don’t have the motivation like most fitness freak that loves to spend hours working out. I just want to be healthy and in good shape, so to be able to get the result in less time sounds heavenly to me. Though, be warned, it can be hell at times! LOL!

So while most ladies are moving to the Zumba tune, we crossfit everywhere! It’s challenging, it’s fun and can be crazy at times. Just how I am!

Still does not have an inkling of what is Crossfit? You can always Google it, Youtube for some workout examples. Stronger. Faster. Fitter. That’s what we thrive to be. For the ladies, no, it does not bulks you up, you don’t have enough natural testosterone hormone in you for that to happen!

Tanned To The Max

April 4th, 2012

10 days out in the open sea, diving day in and day out. Tanned skin should be expected and that’s what I have now. There were days without the sunscreen, because I just could not be bothered with it, and I am glad that I am going home or else my skin would have been fried if this goes on. I know skin protection is important, but somehow, laziness won as always.

Too much sun exposure would mean early sign of aging, but not to worry, there is the eb5 facial cream to the rescue. At least to those who follows their skin regimes closely, so unlike yours truly. I better start taking care of my skin soon or else I’d be an old wrinkly lady before my time. I so envy those who have the discipline to do so. That is why they are blessed with flawless skin, no?

P.S: I like being tanned better

Last Night Outstationed

April 4th, 2012

Tonight marks the last day of my stay here. By tomorrow evening at this time, I’d be home! I’m missing my cats, my own bed. It’s a cool, windy night here at the Celebes Sea tonight. I might just retire to my room early. I’m beat, but I am thankful for all the fun I had during my stay here. It’s a duty call, but somehow, being here, was all fun – most of it.

I’ll be home soon, Duvo. Wait for Mama! :P

The Vow

April 4th, 2012

Marriage Vow – coupled with the rings. Such a beautiful moment, that should be remembered for the rest of their lives. The mens wedding rings should be worn proudly too, not only by the women with their sparkling diamond rings.

It is sad to see that the human evolves in term of keeping the marriage vow sacred. Divorce is such a convenience that getting married seems to be a trial instead of a lifetime commitment for some. Accepting the good and the bad. Yes, I am still a traditional at heart. The scenario of divorcing one, then going to the next one, then next and next. A colleague told me that this kind of person will never find the “right” one, as they will always focus on the bad instead of the good side of their partner. Okay, an exception should be given to the abusive partner, but other than that, all those mere excuses of not a romantic person, or craps like that, is not a reason that calls for a divorce. I mean come on! Get real!

But this is only my opinion. Some people may say, if you never try, you’ll never know. Oh well, whatever rocks your boat. But let me leave you with the following quote:

“When we’re incomplete, we’re always searching for somebody to complete us. When, after a few years or a few months of a relationship, we find that we’re still unfulfilled, we blame our partners and take up with somebody more promising. This can go on and on–series polygamy–until we admit that while a partner can add sweet dimensions to our lives, we, each of us, are responsible for our own fulfillment. Nobody else can provide it for us, and to believe otherwise is to delude ourselves dangerously and to program for eventual failure every relationship we enter.”
