I Should’ve Been A Civil Engineer…

November 24, 2009 - 6:02 pm

It’s almost 6 P.M. and I’m still in the office. The schedule for the internal audit for the company I work for is out, so here it goes again.. my blabbering about how busy I would be for this week! LOL! On top of that, I have just been given a special assignment to video record an ongoing project, slope rectification using Soil Nailing technique, for future training purpose which requires me to be at the site from time to time. Most of the time now, I couldn’t just “punch out” from work even though I’m off the office compound already. The body is tired yet the mind still wants to work. From the way I look now from the lack of restful sleep, I’m sure gonna need under eye cream soon or else I’ll be walking around with panda-eyes.

In truth, I seriously look forward to start and complete the task given to me. I get to learn everything about the technique, and this kind of project doesn’t always present itself to the company I work for. At least not at the moment. So it’s going to be a very valuable knowledge. I can even pursue my studies in Civil Engineering if I want to and this kind of knowledge is definitely going to be handy. A diploma holder in Business Computing and here I am learning about the technical works of Civil Engineering. The funny thing was, once upon a time ago, my dad wanted me to take Civil Engineering so that I can take over his business and I told him I was just not interested. I was and still am more interested with Marine Biology though these technical knowledge triggers my interest in Civil Engineering. Haaaaaaaa! How ironic life can be!

Ah well, enough about reminiscing the past for today. It’s just a habit of mine, I typed whatever pops into my mind for the day and seriously, it’s usually mostly about the past. Don’t I have an interesting life nowadays to talk about? LOL! Talk about stating the understatement huh….
