Benefits of Golf
When I was in my teen years and early 20s, I thought that golf is a sport for those rich and lazy people. Those were the days when I could sprint for 400m like it was nothing. Those were the days when I could trapeze on the boat, sailing for 5 hours straight without feeling like a zombie afterwards.
Now golf could be the sport that I can enjoy and have some health benefits out of it. So out of shape today, that I’d huff and puff after climbing a 20-step staircase. My interest on golf was peaked a bit more when the significant other brought his father’s Callaway golf clubs complete with the bag to KK from his hometown. The golf set were given to the father as a gift from a friend; which the significant other gets to borrow when the father found that golf is not for him after hurting his back when trying out the clubs. So far my man had only been to golf driving range, before the set was whisked away by his older brother. LOL! Not that my man could afford the expensive golf membership now anyway.

Happy Gilmore - One of my favourite movie that involved golf
What are the benefits of golf?
1. Golf strengthen our cardiovascular system: In our busy world today, we’re more likely to get on our transportation to get to one place to another and more often than not skipping any type of exercise. If you are into golf, those walking around the golf course is definitely good for your heart! If one is to finish all the 18-hole course, that is about 5-6 miles maybe (I’m no expert), that is definitely a good form of exercise one can get in a day.
2. Strength and flexibility: When a golfer swing the golf club, this action increases flexibility, coordination, agility and of course, strengthening the muscles especially on the upper body.
3. Vitamin D: We need Vitamin D for the maintenance of our organs system and sunshine is a natural source of Vitamin D. While we can consume food that is high with this vitamin, the human body can actually make enough of this vitamin needed by the body just from some exposure to sun rays. Golf is obviously one of the outdoor sport where you can get all the sunshine that you need!
4. Sleep better: A study by experts says regular physical exercise, which includes golf, will help one to sleep better. If you’re not into any strenuous exercise, then maybe you can give golf a chance.
5.Meeting new friends: There will be plenty of time to chat with friends and meeting new ones during a game of golf.
So if you can afford it, just give golf a try before saying it’s a game for the lazy ones. We all know that golf memberships are not cheap, but maybe you have nice friends that would love to have you as their guests every now and then. Who knows, you might get better with the game and win some tournaments! You could be the next Tiger Wood
By then, paying the membership fee would not be a problem anymore!

Did I say I play golf? I said it COULD be a sport that I can enjoy… the only reason that I don’t is that I cannot afford to pay the membership fee, nor do I have friends that play golf LOL…
Ala… you’re just saying that because you simply don’t like to play any sport
you said the same things about football.. not the exact words but the same meaning nevertheless
