Injured Again…

February 10, 2010 - 5:39 pm 6 Comments

Played futsal yesterday as a keeper, and injured my ring finger on my right hand! It’s now swollen and resembling the look of a butod haha! Uncomfortable? Very, especially since I’m a right-handed person… as a futsal team mate would say to me almost each time I get injured, I am so prone to injury that if I were to play in professional football club, I would’ve been sold a long time ago … *sigh* While others are being recommended to take medical travel whenever they goes traveling overseas, I should just get a personal physiotherapist instead. IF I could afford one that is.. meanwhile, I’ll just endure the pain :P

Ah well, I’ll just take a break from futsal for a few days, yet again, and will be back in action soon…

Of Gadgets Sunday & A Great Blue(s) Monday

November 9, 2009 - 11:20 am 8 Comments

Despite falling asleep around 2.30 in the morning, I was already awake by 6a.m. yesterday. How frustrating it was when I couldn’t go back to sleep on a Sunday. I decided to read a self improvement book, The Power Of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy. I’ve been looking for this book for years since an online friend suggested this book to me and only got hold of it about a month ago. After a few excerpts, it changed my view on things and it helped me to rebound from whatever it was that pulling me down last week. A fresh view on life, I felt like a person who went to see a Plano cosmetic dentist and had her teeth makeover.

Mom will be  going on holiday to my aunt’s place in KL this Saturday, so she wanted to get herself a small, light netbook since her Sony Vaio laptop is too heavy to lug around. Talk about Mafia Wars addiction! Yep, that is why she wants a netbook. To play Mafia Wars LOL! Anyhow, being a person with a high interest over gadgets as I am, a certain someone convinced me that a high end mobile phone is more suitable for me than a netbook, I tried to share this view with my Mom. Once we browsed through the upper floor of Karamunsing Complex, we thought of checking out TecAsia at the ground floor. But alas, on our way downstairs, we passed by the PDA shop and I dragged Mom to check out the line ups there. The salesgirl showed us the following two phones:

 HTC Touch Diamond 2

 htctouchpro2

HTC Touch Pro 2

The salesgirl insisted that the Mafia Wars could be played on these babies. So she and her colleague kept on trying and asked us to wait. About 2 hours later, they gave up and asked us to leave our numbers so that they can call once they ensure that it really can be done. Yes, we waited that long, Mom really wanted to get the HTC Touch Pro 2 since it is more convenient than carrying a netbook everywhere she goes. So off we went to 1Borneo to check out the PDA Expert shop there after sending off my sis to her campus.

While Mom was checking out the HTC Touch Pro 2, I browsed through the shop and got the salesman to let me test the following phone:

htc_touch_hd

 HTC Touch HD

I like the big screen size, 3.8-inch TFT-LCD flat touch-sensitive screen with 480 x 800 WVGA resolution and it’s less bulky than the HTC Touch Pro 2 since it is has no physical keypads. Oh, I’ve been wanting to get a HTC phone, with the Windows Mobile operating system for so long! That is why I know where exactly is this shop in 1B even though I can get lost in that mall! LOL! But it’s Mom who wanted to get a netbook but was thinking of opting for the HTC Touch Pro 2 instead. After about an hour there, we know for sure that no mobile phones can carry the load of games such as Mafia Wars. Well, Mom’s Nokia E75 could actually, but only for the new Facebook account. Not the previous one opened before the FB upgrade though. In the end, Mom got herself …..

Been looking for a Lenovo netbook in Karamunsing, but to no avail. So a visit to 1Borneo was not a lost cause. But hey, that’s not the only thing we went home with …

I succumbed to the call of HTC Touch HD!

So you may read a review on these two gadgets sometime soon! :D There goes my will of not getting anymore gadgets this year and my savings.. *sigh* But at least, this was not added into my mountains of credit cards debts! Got Mom to swipe hers instead since I left mine at home (now what’s the use of this action? LOL) and will pay her with cash later.  There’s a new HTC Touch HD 2 announced, but the pricing is seriously way over my budget. To those who read my status in FB yesterday, yes, I did not get the HTC Touch Pro 2, wanted too but for RM3,199? No, thank you, at least not yet hehe. This one busted my budget actually, but at least this helped to boost up my mood too. Talk about being a gadgets shopaholic huh?  Anyway, on top of that, tis’ The Blues’ Monday .. Chelsea is now 5 points clear ahead when they won 1-0 over Manchester United this morning!

p.s:

My deepest, sincere apology to a dear friend for hurting her the way I did…. no words, no actions can make things right again, but I just want you to know that I really am sorry for everything … if you ever come across this blog again ….

Brisk Walking For A Change

October 23, 2009 - 11:07 am 4 Comments

It’s been what, 3 weeks since the day I got this knee injury? The lack of vigorous exercise is getting to me.. I went to see my friends after their futsal match yesterday and oh, I was green with envy to see them with their flushed skin and the sheen of sweatbeads on their faces… I suddenly felt sick from not having any workouts for the past few weeks … I gotta find other alternatives while waiting for my knee to recover for me to be able to play futsal again, if ever! A good time to start playing golf? Then maybe someday I’ll be able to go to play at Myrtle beach golf while vacationing in USA. But I guess, I better start with brisk walking for a change from all that running around in the futsal courts.

I’ll have to have some sort of exercise at least for 30 minutes daily to ensure that my blood pressure reading remains normal. I am trying to avoid being on medication for as long as possible as  I don’t want my existence to be dependent on those loads of pills. At least not at this age! Meanwhile, my precious futsal shoes will be kept on the shoe racks for now. Time to hang the futsal shoes and get the running shoes to work.

futsalshoes

Which one is mine? The pair of shoes gonna be on the shoe rack for some time, but I hope not long enough to collect dust

Time to update the tracks  in my MP3 player to accompany me while doing the brisk walking alone. It is super-duper boring compared to playing futsal with the ladies, but whatever it takes to keep my health at its best. But if the weather doesn’t permit me to do the brisk walking much in the park, then I may sign up for gym membership again… I do look forward to the sauna room and jacuzzi bath though… hehe … anyhow, wishing you all a happy, restful weekend ahead!

David Cook Wins American Idol 2008!

May 22, 2008 - 11:56 am 20 Comments

First got the news from a text message from a friend, then heard it over the radio! Too bad I’m at work, so I didn’t get to see the LIVE show on Astro. But it’s okay, since David Cook WON!!! Oh yeah bebeh!!!! David Archuleta is good too, but.. let’s just say Cook can diversify his voice better than Archuleta.

So it wasn’t such a bad day after all… even though Chelsea lose the UEFA Champions League Cup to Manchester United during the penalty shootout by 6-5 (my heart goes out to John Terry…. I can only imagine how he feel about his slip and missed shot that could be the winning shot), at least David Cook is THE American idol now ;) . It’s okay Chelsea,  we’ll keep the Blue Flag flying high with you for we’re The Blues! This is just not our season… and as NoktahHitam said, it wasn’t your fault that Chelsea lost, Terry… chin up!

p.s: Lola, jangan mau perasan sana tetiba David Cook jadi laki ko … hahaha

Kaka: FIFA World Best Player 2007

December 19, 2007 - 6:50 am 13 Comments
Yay! Kaka named the world’s best player! I don’t watch Italian Football but I’m a keen supporter for Brazil during World Cups! Imagine my disappointment during the World Cup 2006 when they didn’t even make it to the semi-final… Anyway, I’m really glad that Kaka won the best player title this year! To those of you, you-know-who-you-are, that has been saying that Kaka is YOUR boyfriend - dream on ladies… LOL! You know he’s married….

Kaka In Action

Kaka said at the awards ceremony at Zurich’s Opera House: “Tonight is a really special night for me - it was a dream for me just to play for Sao Paulo and one game for Brazil. But the Bible says God can give you more than you even ask for.” (Quoted from Guardian Unlimited Football News)

Congratulations, Kaka!
