Gearing Up
I always have problem making decision when it comes to shopping for a particular item. So I was in dilemma again over which running shoes to buy. Since last Friday was a public holiday, I spent the whole afternoon hunting for the running shoes with good cushioning support, gearing up for the upcoming 10K BIM 2010 . Getting a good pair of shoes is important at this stage as I’m trying to minimise the impact on my injured knee while running, but at the same time I did not want to splurge too much on a pair of shoes. Initially, I got my eyes on the following pair of shoes:

But since the price tag shows that it costs RM399, I got very reluctant to get it even though it felt so comfortable when I tried it on. So I did not buy any shoes on that Friday, went home to sleep on it instead. I wanted the shoes real bad, since it can be paired with the iPod sport kit or Nike+ Sport band which can track the running pace, distance, time and calories burned. Awesome, but pricey. Maybe I could get myself a pulse oximeter instead to monitor my pulse for that price, which is actually recommended by the doctors I went to due to my high blood pressure condition.
Finally got my pair of shoes early Saturday evening. Did not take long to ponder upon which shoes, which always be the case when I got tired of trying to make a “tough” decision LOL! Half an hour was all that I needed to decide upon which shoes to buy.
Got myself an Adidas Litestrike Eva shoes
I’ve always been a fan of Adidas merchandise, so with the price tag showing much cheaper than the Nike Lunarglide that I had my eyes on, I might as well get myself a pair of shoes of my favourite sport brand to add to my collection
The shoes and the pouch to keep my mobile phones and car key when I go for my run
With more than half of price difference between the two shoes, I got myself a pouch too with the extra money from my initial budget. A free pair of socks was thrown into the deal too. Nice! Now, with the hundreds invested on a good pair of running shoes, I’ll just have to make sure that I use them regularly. Motivation, motivation.
