Dare To Dream BIG

June 18, 2010 - 1:57 pm 4 Comments

Just got back from a very heavy lunch, feeling a bit dizzy too :P But it was worth it, that coming from someone who simply enjoy eating. I should keep apidexin handy at all time to ensure that I do not get myself expanding in size again.

Anyhow, this year is definitely a year that brings a lot of surprises, even to myself. Yes, actions was all mine, decision was mine, nevertheless, they still surprised me once the reality sinks in. The sky is the limit for anyone of us here on earth to achieve our dreams - even big ones that others would say “IMPOSSIBLE!”, “IT IS JUST TOO HARD!”

Walking among the successful ones definitely is a good influence for me, a wake up call. Attending the two motivation events seriously made me a better, goal-oriented person. “IMPOSSIBLE” becomes “I’M POSSIBLE”, “IT IS JUST TOO HARD” becomes “ANYTHING CAN BE DONE WHEN YOU SET YOUR MIND TO IT”. Seriously, whatever the mind can conceived, it can be achieved. So yes, earlier this week, I made another life-changing decision. I took the risk, I dared to dream big. Now, I better work hard to deliver what I promised, to myself and also to my loved ones. I can visualise everything so clearly that I can almost touch it, taste it. For once in my life, I know what I really want and strives to make it happen.

This is the turning point where VAGUE REVERIES; where I was lost in reveries should evaporates to thin air, to be revamped as where DREAMS BECOMES REALITY. A call for rebranding. Wait for the changes in me, in my life. Behold for a brand new, better person in me.

Do It Right

February 20, 2010 - 11:23 am No Comments

I am one of the people who was facing weight & health problems, so I know how hard it is to maintain the ideal weight for a better health condition. Somehow I managed to bring down my weight to an acceptable level, through exercise and ditching the oily food. I do not deprive myself from any food that I enjoy eating, I just don’t take them in excessive portions. I do not skip meals for skipping meals just put your body system will perceive it as being in starvation mode, so your body will store more fat instead of losing more.

A colleague of mine keep on doing this, skipping meals, even though I told her many times that it just doesn’t work that way. If one need to lose weight, let it be the healthy way. I mean, c’mon, I am here in front of her, a walking proof that it can be done the healthy way. Nevertheless, she keep on insisting that it’s because I do regular vigorous exercise, but she doesn’t hence she needs to skip meals. I promised her that I will buy her a bottle of perfume, of her choice, if she loses at least 5kg by this May. That’s what friends are for, we motivates each other. I guess I’ll just have to remind her to check http://www.weightlossnutrition.org/ in order to help her to lose weight, the right way!

As for myself, I still have to shed another 5kg to get my ideal weight and tone up certain areas so that I’ll look fit :P Easier said than done though. But I am working towards it. Hellooo to a healthier, fit and beautiful me! LOL!

Smile For A Better Health

February 1, 2010 - 5:38 pm No Comments

Last Friday we had a briefing on health, especially on handling depression. Anyway, one of the main thing stressed by the speaker was drinking a lot of water, before 6pm! She said forget all the mineral water out there, drink more cooked water instead. So, that means, water filter is a must since the quality of tap water here are just not that suitable for drinking with all those rust residue.

I managed to drink more water today than I did last week. I usually drink a lot of water a day, way passed that 8 glasses per day average due to my busy work schedule. So I hope I can keep that up, helps with controlling my weight too. Another thing that was mentioned by the speaker was to smile your worries away! Those worries could lead to depression and deteriorate the immune system at the same time.

As for me, what better time to be reminded to smile more… so far, the year hasn’t been kind to me that much. It’s been going up and down way too much, always too much for me to handle. Just when I thought I’m going to be happy, heartache comes creeping again. With my health history, I better start smiling my worries away to improve my blood pressure condition. So here’s one of my favourite song to complement this reminder …

Smile - Uncle Kracker

You’re better than the best
I’m lucky just to linger in your light
Cooler than the flip side
Of my pillow, that’s right

Completely unaware
Nothing can compare to where
You send me, lets me know that it’s okay
Yeah, it’s okay
And the moments where my good times start to fade

You make me smile like the sun, fall out of bed
Sing like a bird, dizzy in my head
Spin like a record, crazy on a Sunday night

You make me dance like a fool, forget how to breathe
Shine like gold, buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Oh, you make me smile

Even when you’re gone
Somehow you come along just like
A flower pokin’ through the sidewalk crack
And just like that
You steal away the rain, and just like that

You make me smile like the sun, fall out of bed
Sing like a bird, dizzy in my head
Spin like a record, crazy on a Sunday night

You make me dance like a fool, forget how to breathe
Shine like gold, buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Oh, you make me smile

Don’t know how I lived without you
‘Cause every time that I get around you
I see the best of me inside your eyes
You make me smile

You make me dance like a fool, forget how to breathe
Shine like gold, buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild

You make me smile like the sun, fall out of bed
Sing like bird, dizzy in my head
Spin like a record, crazy on a Sunday night

You make me dance like a fool, forget how to breathe
Shine like gold, buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Oh, you make me smile
(Oh, you make me smile)
Oh, you make me smile
(Oh, you make me smile)
Oh, you make me smile

Online Education

November 1, 2009 - 8:15 pm 2 Comments

Thinking of getting a degree but still need to work to support your lifestyle? Then online degree could be the answer to your dilemma. There are a few factors that we need to consider when signing up for such program. One thing that we need to look upon when looking for a university is its accreditation.

Those of you who are in the United States, you could look up for your program of interest at Western Governors Online University (WGU). Rest assured for WGU is nationally and regionally accredited by DEHC & CHEA. Apart from that, WGU is the first and the only online provider for teacher education recognised by NCATE.

Another important factor to take into consideration is of course, the course fee. Since WGU is a non-profit university, it is more affordable than other online universities that offers the same programs as it does.

Do take your time to explore all the programs that WGU offers, select one that is of your interest and you’re one step nearer to that degree of yours!

I Fell In Love With……

October 17, 2009 - 4:48 pm 12 Comments

…. Hyundai I10! Yes, it’s a car.. a cute, compact, fuel saving car! I’ve been longing to trade my current manual gear Iswara Aeroback with an auto-gear car. Coincidentally there is a Hyundai car show in Wisma Merdeka when I went to buy some necessities at the said mall, and saw it. Today, I brought my mom to inspect the show car, and my oh my, I have to force air intakes into my lungs for it actually took my breath away!

No wonder there’s so many people out there that can afford to buy a new car lately, I was surprised to see such a low down payment to own a car nowadays! But of course, if one pays the below RM1000 for the down payment, the monthly installments surely will become a burden especially with such paycheck as mine. So if I were to get this car, the family Proton Wira will have to go in exchange with my Iswara Aeroback so that I can pay more down payment and doesn’t have to suffer monthly for the luxury of driving this cute car.

Anybody would like to buy a metallic light green Proton Wira produced in year 97/98 for RM12,ooo.oo? The price is still negotiable though.  Will post up the photo later.
