Old Timers
Friday, February 17th, 2012 at 12:13 pmI saw one of my friends posted in Facebook that his new toy has arrived; the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 , and he’d be rooting it tonight. Yes, gadgets nowadays are the new toys – not only for adults, but also for the children. We, the “old timers” were discussing about these matter just a few nights ago – on how the world has changed.
20 years ago, kids were playing in the playgrounds. There were all sorts of outdoor games to keep them entertained and healthy. There were yoyo store just around the corner, too. Nowadays, it’s all electronic, the children hardly want to go out anymore. Even if they do, they will bug their parents to go home as soon as possible because they would want to continue to play with their games – electronic games!
Some of the old timers’ games are making a comeback. I’d say it’s great! Now let’s hope that the parents will do their part. Let your kids play outside, under your supervision, since it is not safe for children to be out playing on their own nowadays. A little dirt, scraped knees will be good for your kids.
