Some of us loves to collect items, for remembrance or just collectible items. But most of us, are just plain hoarders. And sad to say, I am one of them hoarders. Why? Because I only collect things halfway, and then it just being stuffed there somewhere in the house for years – collecting dust.
During my high school years, I used to collect stamps, then it’s the lapel pin and then the labels and many other things. When I was clearing my room, I found these things and again I thought, for remembrance, cleaned them and keep them again. The following years to come, I’d be doing the same thing over and over again. But in between, I just totally forget about them and the collection never grows. It does not hold any value anyway, be it sentimental or in monetary form! That’s when I know – I am just hoarding stuff instead.
Nowadays, when that thought strikes me again, I will just keep the item for a certain period of time. If it just proves to be another item that would become a junk, I’d just chuck it to the bin instead. No point of adding more junks in the house when the existing ones needs clearing up too!

I saw one of my friends posted in Facebook that his new toy has arrived; the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 , and he’d be rooting it tonight. Yes, gadgets nowadays are the new toys – not only for adults, but also for the children. We, the “old timers” were discussing about these matter just a few nights ago – on how the world has changed.
20 years ago, kids were playing in the playgrounds. There were all sorts of outdoor games to keep them entertained and healthy. There were yoyo store just around the corner, too. Nowadays, it’s all electronic, the children hardly want to go out anymore. Even if they do, they will bug their parents to go home as soon as possible because they would want to continue to play with their games – electronic games!
Some of the old timers’ games are making a comeback. I’d say it’s great! Now let’s hope that the parents will do their part. Let your kids play outside, under your supervision, since it is not safe for children to be out playing on their own nowadays. A little dirt, scraped knees will be good for your kids.

My car needs some tender loving care! The scheduled service is long overdue – I think 2 months overdue! Geez! I am determine to have it serviced, checked and ensure everything are in tip-top condition as I just cannot afford for any unexpected charges to be spent on the car. Must remember to have the gusher pump checked out too.
As I only have some free time over the weekends, I have been meaning to go to some workshop to get it done, but alas, there were just too many personal things to do over the weekends too. I have the money set aside for all the things that needs changing, including the oh-so-expensive tyres. Now, the free time to slot that activity in.
Let’s hope that it can be done by this weekend. Getting worried for the car’s condition.

Another ad-hoc plan. We’re off to Kundasang this Saturday! Decided on that yesterday afternoon, paid for the accomodation and yes, we will be there come Saturday! A short getaway but it would be great for our minds indeed.
While we were looking for accommodation yesterday, having water heater for shower was really important! Going berserk thinking of the ice cold water to shower SHOULD the chalet have no hot shower installed. Thank goodness, there is! Since we are in tight budget this time, we can say goodbye to looking for a place with a pool. We would have been able to try out any pools that have rheem pool heaters installed, but it’s okay. Next time maybe.
We are excited, that much I can tell you!
