Working Attire

November 25th, 2011

I am enjoying my job well now, including the working attire that I get to wear to the office – jeans and t-shirt. I am the jeans and T-shirt type of a person, and due to the coolness of my working environment, we can wear just about anything to work, as long as it is presentable. So far, I am not missing the corporate attire or “baju keparat”* as I call it as I do not have the need to shop for those quite expensive office attire anymore.

Next to jeans and T-shirt, I’d say uniforms are great too! Why? Simply because one need not rack one’s brain to think about what to wear for work daily. Nurses, though their uniforms are just plain white, but still they do look good in them, right? I believe some men would think that the nurse uniform are sexy, just like the women with men in uniforms too.

There are friends who wears beachwear to work, even bikinis for those who works in the water. Nice, right? Well, I guess it will depends on one’s personality. Some would be really glad to dress up for work, while others, like me, prefer to wear casual attires. However, being a woman, I do get the mood to dress up once in a while too, but I’m saving that for special occasions. Speaking of which, it’s time to dig up all those pretty dresses and checks if I can fit in them again. Ciao bella!

Track Them Thieves!

November 21st, 2011

Recently there were two stolen vehicle cases that was announced by my friends on Facebook. This is alarming, of course! We work hard to pay for our vehicle and to have someone steals it – it’s just plain frustrating and of course, not to mention cursing them thieves to rot in hell! Luckily when this happened to my good friend about 2 years ago, her blue Kancil was recovered just after about 2 days or so, thanks to all the social networking that we have today.

With these cases on the rise, getting gps vehicle tracking installed on your vehicle would be a good idea of course! More companies are now getting them installed on the company vehicles nowadays. I wish I have the financial situation that allows me to do so, but meanwhile, all I can do is hope and pray that God will have mercy on me and would not allow this to happen to me. Amen.

In Ever Loving Memory

November 16th, 2011

Sending up a quick prayer for the recovery of our beloved little cousin, Amanda Joanne, who is now in critical condition in the hospital.

I was actually composing this post yesterday, complete with the song from my favourite Praise & Worship band, Mercy Me, when I received the call from cousin Melvin with the sad news. That was 5:39 P.M. according to my phone call history.

Amanda or affectionately known as Mandut by family members and close friends, succumbed to her illness and gone home to our Father in Heaven. She will always be remembered in our hearts and our prayers. May her parents, brothers, and sister, all family members and friends who feels the loss will be comforted.

Dear Lord of Mercy and Father of Comfort,

You are the One I turn to for help in moments of weakness and times of need. I ask you to be with your servant in this illness. Psalm 107:20 says that you send out your Word and heal. So then, please send your healing Word to your servant. In the name of Jesus, drive out all infirmity and sickness from his body.

Dear Lord, I ask you to turn this weakness into strength, suffering into compassion, sorrow into joy, and pain into comfort for others. May your servant trust in your goodness and hope in your faithfulness, even in the middle of this suffering. Let him/her be filled with patience and joy in your presence as he/she waits for your healing touch.

Please restore your servant to full health, dear Father. Remove all fear and doubt from his/her heart by the power of your Holy Spirit, and may you, Lord, be glorified through his/her life. – Healing Prayer from About.com

I put my hope in You
I lay my life in palm of your hand
I’m constantly drawn to You Lord
In ways I cannot comprehend

It’s the Creator calling the created
The Maker beckoning the made
The bride finding what she’s always waited for
When we find ourselves that day

[CHORUS:]
In You where the hungry feast at the table
The blind frozen by colors in view
The lame will dance, They’ll dance for they are able
And the weary find rest
Oh the weary find rest in You

It’s no secret that we don’t belong here
Those set apart by the grace of You
And we look for the day when we go to a place
Where the old becomes brand new

RIP_Mandut-edit

Rest in Peace Amanda Joanne Mindong

-You will be missed dearly-

Headache, Shoo!

November 9th, 2011

The headache attacks … yet again! It could be from my eyes, or from my blood pressure. Or simply, hormone changes. But hey, it’s not something delightful to have while you still have to sit for hours on your desk at work. Especially when you are supposed to come up with a good write up for the company you work for to give to some online magazine. It’s damn inconvenient.

Maybe it’s the lack of rest as I am having the ‘flu. The cough and runny nose in all. Fever breaks in every now and then. AND, for this, one of my colleagues called me a “tofu” – a term used by the Chinese for someone who falls sick easily. Yep, this is the 2nd time I got sick since I started working here, and it’s only my 3rd month here. Nothing to do with work, the work and office are awesome. It could be the weather, and yes, I am babbling now. Sheesh!

SWOD

Refer the photo above. That was our workout yesterday. The difficulties of the workout have been increased yet again. We’re supposed to be fitter now or so the trainers said. It looks easy, but we were struggling while doing it for TIME. Now I’m aching all over again just as I felt when I first started joining the X45 workout with Core Fitness Centre Point. Right now, looking at some girls spa baskets on sale are so tempting. Imagine the bliss of having the pain being eased away with a deep muscle massage. And having flawless skin after that too, that is if I can get a good body scrub in!

However, nearing the expiring date of my membership with the gym fills my heart with sadness. For once, I found a workout that I really like, that I can get addicted to, and yet, I couldn’t freaking afford it at the moment! God, I hate being in this financial disruption! There’s just so much that I can’t afford, let alone having a good quality life. I’m thankful that I have someone to stand by my side, going through that “better or worst” stage in life together. Somehow, I know, we can overcome this together. And once this financial hurdles has pass us by, life would be good again. Amen to that.

Venting Out For Sanity

November 4th, 2011

It’s Friday, and it’s going to be a long weekend due to the Public Holiday for Malaysia on Monday, as a replacement for Eid al-Adha this Sunday. Just for fun, I’m going to vent out things I see over the well-known social networking, Facebook.

  1. Posting a status then liking it themselves – blardy annoying
  2. Re-posting every gory videos and pictures posted by others – even more blardy annoying
  3. Posting and reposting each and every quotes that seems good to them – need I say more?!
  4. Liking each and every post but not commenting anything, even if it’s some bad news! – Use your brain-lah, this also want to like ah?
  5. Posting all the football matches’ goals, each and every minute of the match – you think you’re the only one that watches the game? And if people that doesn’t, ada dorang kisah?
  6. Reporters wanna-be!!! Trying to beat everybody else about a new incident that occurs somewhere, preferably bad news, with additional rumours too! – Oi! We want facts, not rumours and you’re screwing up my newsfeed with your “OMG! OMG!”
  7. Uploading their self-potrait photos, with the duck face, trying too hard to look cute with a pout! – Duh, duck face!

Okay, I am annoyed! Yes, I know I can just ignore that, but this is for fun! LOL!  If it weren’t for these kind of people, Facebook would be another boring social networking I think! Haha!
