It’s almost 3 months since I first joined SPCA KK’s rescue team. It haven’t been that long, but sure feel that way, though. I’ve joked, laughed, cried and seen some dramas with the Society.
The good things about being an active member with the rescue/inspectorate team, I get to learn a lot and meet all sort of people and of course, become the familiar face at certain animal clinics has its benefit – small as it is
The most valuable lesson would be knowing how to look for certain sickness symptoms in cats and dogs, the medication and on how to take care of them. Another bonus would be getting to see all these cute kittens and pups in the process too
Now, the downside. Of course, death would be on top of the list. Unfortunately, there are some cats or dogs that just can’t be helped, or just so sick they died despite all the medication. It’s heartbreaking, yes, totally. Another thing is seeing all these irresponsible member of the public. Pet owners discarding their pets, abusing them. A lot would think that SPCA is a dumping ground for their unwanted pets, especially those kittens and pups. What they should do was have their pets neutered/spayed as soon as they’re mature enough for the procedures. This way, the pets would not have breed and become pests in the end – nor a heavy responsibility, financially.
All these are eye-opener. Indeed, a valuble lesson in life.

Gold are expensive. Having pure gold is like having a gold mine nowadays. Mom asked me to dig out her gold bullion from her cabinet drawer, those cold coins she got from her employer for 10 years or 2o years of service. Yes, long service. I for one would never get that from my employer I guess. Simply because – I am still dreaming of being my own boss
Ya think that I’d give up by now, right? Nope, I haven’t and never will.
Reading those romantic novels in my MUCH younger days, reminds me of the stories of this chap breaking their bones mining the gold. How dirty there were doing the job, but at the same time, those rippling muscles must come into the picture too
Isn’t it nice if I suddenly have a gold mine at my backyard, eh? Solve all the problem all in one go. But now, that’s one easy way out .. which of course, can only happens maybe to one in a million.
I’m now trying to taper into my?subconscious?mind, trying to train my brain to be positive and in return … attracting the good things in this universe, in this life. Yes, the law of attraction. I think most of you would’ve read or at least heard about this. As I get older, I hope I may become wiser too. Reflecting back to my life for all these years, all those failures – seems like it was me who attracted them to happen, simply because I have more negative thoughts than positive ones. I doubted myself way too much back then. No, not again. It’s time to turn a new leaf, altogether.

2 days ago, my dad called me up and asked if I have any hp printers to print his document. Yes, I do have not one, but two printers, but both are out of ink! I have never have the need to replace those ink as whenever I do, it’ll just go to waste – not being used until it goes expired.
Mom said that maybe we could trade in the old printers for new ones, but trade in means we need to chip in some money too. Something that I don’t have much now – money *sigh* Still I believe, everything happens for a reason. I guess this is my time to let me appreciate the value of money. I have never been in such a bad situation financially – so I have been somewhat splurging on anything and everything without much thought before. ?No matter what, every cloud has a silver lining. So I believe too, this?drought phase in my life?will end soon

Thinking about those people standing near their fire pits,?barbecuing?their tasty food, makes my mouth water. I think the last BBQ session I went to was my 2nd cousin’s birthday, last September. Whoa, now that’s seriously has been a very long time ago.
A good friend has been saying that we should arrange for a small BBQ session between us friends. However, we just never seem to be able to get that ‘free’ time to do so. We planned on going for a movie or two next week, hopefully that will materialise too. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, and in this case…. ME! But lately, being a food lover, ‘play’ would mean good food to eat! LOL! And for now, BBQ is beckoning ….

Years ago, whenever there’s some close friends or relatives that went to KL or came back home from there, I’d sure asked them to bring back some Dunkin’ Donuts. Now that we have Big Apple Donuts here, I can have them nice, soft donuts anytime I want to.
Now, the craving would be for Subway sandwiches! Or?Portuguese?egg tarts. Among others that is. But these two tops my list of food that I’d ask for from KL. Seriously, we need more food franchises here in KK. We need varieties in food selection too.
