It’s been a busy afternoon till early evening yesterday, with us being cooped up in the meeting room for the SPCA KK’s
AGM. We went for dinner at my cousin’s, as to celebrate her son’s 11th birthday and then off to another cousin’s house
to inject medication to one of her cats. I got home – only to be greeted by my pet rabbit, Kitut, right in front of my door! I
let them out from the cage to roam at the verandah for the day. You see, the sad thing was, she was already dead! :~(
She must had been waiting for me to come home, hoping to see me before she died. You see, that’s how the pet
rabbits goes, they usually waits for their owner to come home before breathing their last breath. At least, that’s how it
went with ALL my previous pet rabbits.
That’s another lost of a dear pet within 2 weeks. I felt numb that I couldn’t even cry. Last Wednesday, 6th April 2011, we lost the 12-days old orphaned puppy that was under my care. We thought he would survived since the vet said that if the pup is still alive after 14 days, he’ll lived. 2 more days to go, and he did not make it. The day before, I lost another orphaned young kitten. The week before, I helped my bestfriend to bury her dog, Ikus, a dog that I was fond of too.
Sometimes, losing all these pets made me just want to give up in taking anymore pet into my home, my heart. The heartache whenever I lost any of them is just too much to bear. But remembering how they bring joy to my life, cheers me up whenever I feel down with their antics, and their existence around me keeps me company, keeps me going.

That’s another lost of a dear pet within 2 weeks. I felt numb that I couldn’t even cry. Last Wednesday, 6th April 2011, we lost the 12-days old orphaned puppy, Velvet, that was under my care. We thought he would survived since the vet said that if the pup is still alive after 14 days, he’ll lived. 2 more days to go, and he did not make it. The day before, I lost another orphaned young kitten. The week before, I helped my best friend to bury her dog, Ikus, a dog that I was fond of too. And 2 more orphaned newborn pups, Velvet’s siblings, before that.
