Stress Management

February 26th, 2011

We encounter stress daily, well most of normal people does. It can be work-related or personal. Either way, there no way that anyone have never encounter stress. The difference being how one manage their stress, or else jeopardising their health, especially mentally and emotionally.

There are many drawbacks of having unhealthy stress level in our lives. Some may need to use hair loss products for hair loss is one of the symptoms of unhealthy stress level. Yes, there are some who are unfortunate to have this in their gene though. In my case, it’s the blood pressure. I’ll have to have enough rest and healthy state of mind and emotion or risks getting a stroke. Many are surprised of my blood pressure reading, because for them, I am still ‘young’.

I just went to my scheduled tri-monthly review and much to my despair, my dosage has been increased instead of getting better. Ah, age is really catching up with me. But I guess, lack of rest and the silent worries for days contributed to the high blood pressure level. So I would say, stress management is something that I am not good at. Lucky are those who really have no worries for it is easier said than done, “Don’t worry, be happy” :D

Missing Dog, Please Keep A Lookout

February 26th, 2011

Please keep a lookout for a missing dog, Papai, especially if you are in Kepayan Ridge area. He is a relatively small dog, slightly taller than an adult cat, but with a tough-looking built. He has black spots all over on his otherwise white coat.

Donate to SPCA KK

February 25th, 2011

Got any old clothing that needs to be rid of? Usually the good ones we donate to the Children’s home for charity, but how about those old, faded ones? It’s not really nice to donate such clothing to the children, right. But let it go to waste, why not donate it to SPCA KK?  The animals could use them as their bedding place.

Towels and clothing is needed, as long as they are in good condition. Even the  old, nice, thick bath rugs would be handy too, as long as they are not smelly and dirty. In fact, I made the bedding for the cats using old clothing, even the ones that have holes here and there would be useful. So there’s one great way to apply the 3R in our lives too,

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!

Apart from the clothing, SPCA KK welcomes donation in the form of shampoos, brushes, collars & leashes, cat litter boxes, food / water bowls, dogs/cats food – dry or moist of any brands, and even cats litter sands. Every little help goes a long way, and every little good deed makes a difference. Please support SPCA KK. Let us be a compassionate society.

Busy Rescuing Them Animals…

February 25th, 2011

For the past 3 days, most of my time were occupied with voluntary rescue work with SPCA KK. I enjoyed the experience tremendously that I wish I could have the job full time, while being paid for it since as much as I like to help rescue them animals, the bills still need to be paid and the stomach need to be filled. At this moment, I really wish that the business has already bloomed so that I need not worry about my financial status, but that’s just not the case *sigh*

Anyhow, being exposed to the grime and dirt, the heat does not do much help to my skin. The skin starts to break out, which makes me wonder how does some people keep their skin so flawlessly beautiful! I guess they click here to get some tips on skin care.

While being on the rescue team yesterday, it surprised me how little the KK society knows about this organisation. But I’ll save my thoughts on that for another time. For now, I need to get myself ready for a job interview that I am way over-qualified for. But heck, the location is great, so I’ll just give it a shot. :D

Funny Sleeping Patterns

February 22nd, 2011

Friends keeps saying to me, how nice it is for me to be able to sleep whenever I want since I am still jobless. I wouldn’t put it that way, since having that advantage means income resources is very low. I wouldn’t say I have no means of income at all, but very very low, yes. The thing is, I have funny sleeping pattern. When I was working, I have trouble waking up in the morning to go to work and yet went to bed early during the night, whereas now, I only sleep about 4-5 hours a day!

I wakes up around 5:30-6:00 a.m. then goes to bed around midnight or 1 a.m. This goes for a few days then I’d be so tired that I fell asleep around 10 p.m. then wakes up at 6.00 the next day, before the long waking hours resume again. No daytime naps, too. Sometimes I wish I have some sleep aids as my body could do with the extra rest, especially to regulate my blood pressure!

People say it’s the passion that keeps one going. So in my case, I love being a home person???! LOL! Yes, I do actually. I love the idea of to be able to work from home, with my own time. Even more so now that I have another cause to fill my days with. Tending to the rescued cats! :)
