Oh No!

December 16th, 2010

Just minutes ago, I was saying about needing to get a job when new year comes. It just occured to me, comes January, it means the car insurance and road tax for my car needs to be renewed! Ohhhh nooooo!!! That means, extra money to fork out….

No matter how out of order my life seems to be at the moment, I trust in God. Though people say it is up to oneself how the life would turn out to be, I still believe that no matter how we plan our lives to be, there are moments that we can’t change because it is “written” in our “book of life” to be that way. It’s called obstacles in our plans. When we have faith and keeps on fighting for what we want to achieve, I believe … it will be ours! So may it be His will, that my life would be better next year onwards.

Life Goes On and On and On

December 16th, 2010

15 days before new year. Have I finished with the spring cleaning at home? A BIG FAT NO! I really would love to get a pendant lighting for the dining area-cum-work station for my baking, it would be great! The lighting at that area has been out for months, the whole lighting system there needs to be replaced, and my father have yet to get to it – as usual! If it’s just a matter of replacing the light bulb, I could do it myself *sigh* I need the light to work at night there.

New year would means that I need to get myself a job. The fund is seriously getting low, and with my high monthly financial commitment, I think I can only last for a month now. Thinking about working for others is soooo depressing. I dream about winning the Jackpot everyday, just so I can pay off my debts, and if possible, mom’s too, and then living on the winning alone for the rest of my life. I will just have pinch my lifestyle a bit, and I’m sure the money would last me a lifetime! But of course, that’s just a dream LOL! In reality? I hardly, I won’t say never, buy the Jackpot tickets, so how could I win, right? :P So getting a job it is – for now.

Oh well, LIFE GOES ON!

Day 11th of Detoxification

December 12th, 2010

Today is day 11th for my detoxification (and supposedly slimming!) program. But being a makanholic, I succumbed to temptation a few times in between *sigh* I need food that I can chew, taste and enjoy. My housemate suggested that I take weight loss pills such as the one from lipofuze.net but I am already on the detox program, I might as well get on with it first before trying another method.

The program actually works, as long as you stick with its instruction. Taking the fibre etc as total food replacement diet for 15 days, straight! I did well for the first 4 days, losing a kilo a day starting from day 2nd, until I went to Gaya Street Fair on the 5th day and the “konlomen” was so darn tempting! Thinking that I don’t usually go to this side of the city, I had some, didn’t finish it as I usually did with my food, so it was okay. I was feeling so unusually tired after a half hour at the fair, and it’s no wonder after I got my blood pressure checked. My usually high blood pressure dropped to 90/60. The combination of hypertension and detoxification caused that.

Hence, for that day, I had a few snacks before continuing with my detox program for the day. The next day, I did not lose anymore weight, but did not gain any either. So all is good. After that, I had taken solid food after 2-3 days of total fibre diet, hence did not lose weight as I should. But still, I am happy with the program and the progress. I know that it is because I am not disciplined enough when it comes to food, and not that I the program does not work.

To all that wonders, it is a safe, natural program. It is not crash diet as there is exercise that one need to do everyday, and the fibre etc have to be taken every 2 hours hence no risk of getting gastric problem. They contains all the minerals and vitamins that one needs daily, without the sugar, starch and fat that comes with solid food. This detoxification program forces one’s body to use the stored up fat in the body, hence the slimming effect too while cleansing the system. The company that produces this product uses Bio-Science research method to ensure their products are all natural and safe. So no worries :)

I have four more days to go, but still contemplating whether I should continue the program of rest for 3 days then continue with the program to complete it as I will be somewhat occupied this coming week that does not really allow me to stick with the every 2 hours fibre consumption. Nevertheless, again, I am happy with the outcome so far. Now, I just hope, I have the perseverence to stick with the program as I should for these last days to complete the program!

Granny’s 73rd Birthday – Soon!

December 12th, 2010

Grandma @ Nenek’s birthday is coming up soon, 3 days before Christmas. Getting her a present would be nice, a swarovski butterfly would be a great match for her new tailored clothes, but alas, this granddaughter of hers is totally broke at the moment. Next best thing, a cake for her :) Too bad I could not afford to order a custom-made decoration for her either. Oh well, people say it’s the thought that counts anyway.

I can safely blog this now because Nenek does not use the internet :P To cousins who does read this, do drop by and give Nenek a visit on her birthday and Christmas Day okay.

A Wish List

December 7th, 2010

A wish list, who doesn’t have one? I would think that all human beings would have their own personal wish lists. But let’s talk about the shopping wish list, as those we see in online shopping websites :) You know those little button to click that says “Add to Wish List” ? Well, if only someone else would be able to see what’s in them eh? LOL!

When I got a job last month, I was planning on getting myself an ipod touch 8g instead of an iphone 4.  Ipod touch have all the functions of an iphone, except for the phone function, and I don’t really need that do I? Not when I am only aiming for the games, social networking and yeah of course, the music function :P Alas, the job environment does not suit me. SO, there goes my ipod touch, into the wish list again.

Most of my girlfriends would have someone to get them the things they want, especially with Christmas season is here. But nah, not me LOL! The gadgets that I have with me today? All self-bought. It would be nice to have someone giving me an electronic gadget as a gift for a change, but I guess the day have yet to come.
